Start of e-file

E-file does not does not begin until January 22nd, 2013.The IRS will not accept transmissions before this day, therefore filling earlier will not get you a faster refund. However we are gladly accepting last paycheck stub/w2 at this time for a free estimate.

Refund Cycle Chart
Due to the increase in fraud and identity theft, the IRS is increasing their fraud filters during the processing of all individual returns. This means that a larger number of returns will be reviewed therefore, processing will take longer. The IRS has discontinued /eliminated the use of the Refund Cycle Chart. The expected date of when your refund will be sent will no longer be given when the return begins to be processed.

The IRS messaging for refunds for the upcoming filing season will be that refunds will be sent to you within 21 days from the time the return has been accepted. This message will be the same on the IRS website, “Where’s My Refund?” page, and when a you calls the IRS help desk.

Earned income credit (EIC)

EIC is still available .Congress reached a decision to continue with this credit, however we are now required to verify Dependent(s) Residency status so please be sure to bring one of the following documents listed below to be able to claim the credit: ( school records, lease, health provider statements ,medical records, childcare provider records, placement agency etc).
“This is to verify that you the taxpayer lived in the same household and provided for  the  dependant”.
